Sarah Turner is an eco artist & designer who specialises in making decorative lighting from waste plastic drinks bottles.
The bottles are collected from cafes and households in Nottingham and then they are cleaned and sandblasted. Then with some clever cutting they are transformed into decorative shapes, totally unrecognisable from their original state.
Only 5.5% of plastic waste drinks bottle are recycled in the UK. So these lights aim to do something creative with them and overall save a few bottles from the landfill sites.
